n an effort to live up to the promise of the Harambe Bretton Woods Declaration and fulfill the mission of our Alliance, Harambe Endeavor has held three annual Harambe Bretton Woods Symposia on the Ivy Leagues campuses of Harvard University, Dartmouth College and the historic Mount Washington Hotel, in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire. The HBWS has gathered 100 young African entrepreneurs attending leading academic institutions in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, South Korea, United Kingdom, and the United States all committed to the "to unleash the potential of Africa's people, pursue the social, political and economic development of our continent and fulfill the dream of our generation."

Our collective Endeavor has sprung the first buds of effective action with entrepreneurship programs in Burkina Faso, Cameroon and Ghana, agribusiness initiatives in Guinea and Nigeria, and microfinance in Ethiopia, while nascent, these student conceived and led initiatives are harbingers of the unlimited and untapped potential of Africa's young and enterprising force and lend credence to the simple yet powerful message of our Dream on a Piece of Paper.

The past three years have rendered our Endeavor more cognizant of the difficulties and challenges the continent faces but in keeping with the spirit of the Harambe Bretton Woods Declaration our Endeavor continues to believe “Yet in the end, the Africa our generation desires can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it is ours.”

Sincerely,
