Okendo Lewis Gayle spoke to the assembled heads of Corporate Social Responsibility of leading US Corporations including Microsoft, Oracle, Chevron, Abbott, and Western Union on the "unprecedented opportunity" for US Corporations to partner with the next generation of African professionals to unleash the potential of Africa.
A generation that the Harambe President described as Africa's "most valuable resource ... the resource that constitutes 61% of Africa's population ... the resource that will ensure that by 2025, one out of every four young people on earth will hail from Africa."
Harambe's Founder asserted that the next generation of African professionals has a global outlook, understands and accepts its responsibility and is in search of effective partnerships with Africa's international partners to address the challenges and opportunities of the continent.

Mr. Lewis Gayle's remarks marked the beginning of an Alliance campaign to create the Hendeavor Programs, entry level opportunities for young Africans in both the public and private sectors across Africa. The Alliance campaign is part of the 2009 Bretton Woods discussions that were held at the annual Harambe Bretton Woods Symposium in April. The campaign will result in an intimate gathering in the upper chamber of the British Parliament, the House of Lords, and the first series of Hendeavor Programs in the summer of 2010.
